It was a little reunion last night as Natalie guest starred with her longtime team the Sheep Shaggers!  They made it to top 3, bet with their balls, and unfortunately the final challenge question was only known by one person in the room.  So congrats to team Game On! for their first place win!

Second place went to The Beer Whores, who also had a guest star – Crysie’s “sister” was there having fun.  I put it in quotes because I don’t believe anything without proof!  Not since LOST ended the way it did.  I associate that with Crysie and Sarah since they were my LOST watching buddies, even though it’s not fair to them.  Stupid LOST.  I’m still bitter.  :)

That was a fun night!  I’m ready for some serious relaxation with family this weekend.  Sun is shining, and I’m bright-eyed and bushytailed (getting up at at the crack of noon and all) and ready to tackle some yardwork.  Whee?

Alright, so maybe I’m in sounds-dirty overdrive by now, but it was fun all week and Parkway Station was no exception!

Congratulations to The Geeks United for 2nd place, and poor Beer Whores got left out in the cold though they made it into the final challenge round.

Enjoy the weekend by having a BBQ, or going camping, or having a BBQ while camping!  Summer is here peeps, can’t wait to enjoy it with ya next week.  Oh, and if you want to keep bringing in funny innuendo even though Sounds Dirty week is over, I won’t complain.  That stuff is GOLD.

Good crowd at Parkway Station, despite the 2nd day in a row over 95 degrees.  Sunshine is nice and all, but the heat wave is harsh – thanks again to everyone who showed up for some trivia!  In first place, clawing tooth and nail from basically last place at the end of round 1 – the Dynamic Duo!

They needed amazing scores for round 2, and BOTH handouts to be in contention for the money, and THEN they needed to win the final challenge round for 1st place – all of which they pulled off beautifully.

In second place, having a near perfect On This Day score (11 of 12): Dazed and Confused took the 2nd money spot!  And though The Hot Sheets were in first place all night, they went home without the cashy-cash.  Roller coaster scoreboard last night, it was nuts.

It made for a really fun evening of trivia though, so I welcome any switch-up shenanigans in the future!  We’ll see how it goes next week.  The Bucket o’ Cash is begging to be emptied, so don’t miss out!

It was a great night for trivia in Hillsboro yesterday!  Mostly because the gorgeous sunshine turned into drizzly rain, and it was warm inside.  Also, beer and friends.

Congratulations to team No Ma’am for first place last night!

Dazed & Confused kept saying they had no chance (they’re family, even!) but guess what?  They rocked out the final challenge answer and took it not ninja-style, but freakin PIRATE STYLE!  No prisoners!  The cheers from their team were so explosive it startled Dazed & Confused half to death, so they got their just revenge in the end.

Also, Dazed & Confused took 2nd place.

Again, congrats again to NO MA’AM for the win!

Blake and Diane are going to string me up next week for that, but it was so worth it to see how happy No Ma’am were.

It’s rainy outside, but I have BBQ preparations to do for the 4th!  Can’t wait – hope you guys get to BBQ as hard as I’m gonna.  See you next week!

If I’m honest, I just wanted to somehow justify saying “Thank goodness for Beer Whores”.  Awesome.

That picture is freaking awesome, congrats Tim!  The man knows how to fan out a fistful of cash.  I especially like the Christmas lights in there, for some excellent symbolism.  Cash is the best present ever!

Congrats to team Geeks United for taking second place.  The scores went up and down more than I’ve ever seen in one quiz, so first and second places were definitely an accomplishment!

But the craziness of the night didn’t stop there! In first place tonight was a one-person team called Her First Mistake.

In one of the biggest crowds we’ve had at Parkway Station, she rocked her way into third place, by herself, by the end of the challenge round, and with a bet of zero (in combination with a difficult final question) she took first place!  Nice, nice.

One-person team winners have happened to me only once before (twice, if Kurt finally won by himself, I forget).  I happened to have Dan nearby, who was the first (second?) to perform the feat.

I’m thinking they are 2 out of 6 of a seriously competitive team at the next Pub Quiz USA tournament.
