And so it goes, we slam dunked right into the night of drinking songs and limericks with several great songs.
From the Streeps, the beautiful and talented KC sang us an amazing Irish song that brought everyone to shame for the lamer yet still awesome attempts that follow. The Rural Jurors had some great song that got folks singing and pounding the tables, and even shy ol’ Beige McFood maanged to wrangle up a lovely limerick for some points. However, with big green kudos to all who sang on Monday night, I have to give it up to Josh on the bar team who did indeed stand before us and sing “99 bottles of beer on the wall” Freaking classic. Of course he DID manage to get everyone singing along, and we made it to the low 90′s before I had to pull the plug..or the cork out of the barrell if you will and stop the song so we could move on to the game.
Beige McFood really, totally and completely SUCKED in R2. In fact, they had less answers right than the BAR team (glorious Irish NTT) and the Bar Team guessed “Abba” and “Olivia Newton John” for two of the answers!
Those Rural Jurors, who seem to quickly becoming a well welcomed staple team at CC’s ran the night, and were WAY ahead into the final round. We had only 5 teams, so we decided to go for the Irish Gold and let all 5 in, and then play off for ALL the cash to first place. Everyone was very happy with this idea, since we had some kick ass new Chris Cornell CD’s for second. After such a commanding lead, and Beige McFood doing so poorly guess who won the game?
Not the Rural Jurors, whom we ALL expected to win, but Beige McFood! They managed to wager well enough to win the game, and get the correct answer, w/o scratching it out and changing it as the Rural Jurors did. Btw, Thanks Rural Jurors for all the great love notes, you make a girl feel so special, and I love you too!

Join us for the night to beat all nights, as we whoop your ass, and take your names and have copious amounts of liquor. Speaking of Liquor, the owners of CC’s have informed me they are working on a new “pollytini” for the event..I can’t wait to see what they can come up with, they have found the key to my heart, tasty drinks and a good fun filled frolicking pub quiz.
