Oh the Bloodhound Gang. What happened to these guys? I mean, other than showing up on last night’s first round, I don’t know that they’ve done anything since they put this doozy of a song out. [CORRECTION: They recently released a "Greatest Hits" album, which is exactly what a band should do in the age of iTunes.... oh, don't forget that previously unreleased track!]
But we were doing it like mammals all night LONG at the Space Room last night. And by “doing it” I certainly mean “pub quizzing.” Five frenzied rounds as usual, with “Those Meddling Kids” playing a solid night throughout, and taking home the bacon. Second place belonged to Clarification Please (who would like to apologize for all the yelling, but really don’t care what you think about them) came in second place, with House of No Future rolling into third place.
Starting to see a lot of teams creeping into the Triple Crown action! “Kim and the Jong Ills” tried their hand at Space Room, after winning at the Belmont earlier this season, and The Usual Suspects, who won the first week of the Triple Crown sweepstakes in Vancouver also tried their take in their second victory. The pot is up to $197, which means it will reach it’s magic $200 marker tonight at the Belmont Inn.
Come play all the venues, and come in first place to win the Triple Crown title, and keep on slugging it out at your local venues for the season long competitions. Like the Space Room Saucer, for example — let’s see how that’s shaking down:
