A fun and relaxing night at the Lock and Keel last night. April has seen an upswing in awesomeness at our ballard ave pub quiz – we have returning teams and everything. That, and the longest happy hour ever. EVER.
Our theme last night was The Four Seasons, those things that are supposed to happen every year. -
| (seattle’s) APRIL is the cruellest month, breeding | |
| Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing | |
| Memory and desire, stirring | |
| Dull roots with spring rain.
-T.S. Eliot, The Wasteland

April’s been pretty sucky. In fact the most sucky in recorded history. Old T.S. had something there, and alot of people knew it to be true last night
In addition to weather, we recalled fondly frankie valli and Charlton Heston, and everyone, i mean everyone knew about Antonio Vivaldi:
Our aforementioned returning team The Dukes (named after a dog, i’m told) came back for good reason and crushed it in the first round, enjoying their spoils into the second, and my favorite, round- The Game of Arrogance, patent pending.
There was more heated battle in the second round, with the addition of the mighty Queen LaQueefa (a one man show) giving The Dukes a run for their beer monies. A one point lead and the dual inability to know things about the book of Ecclesiastes brought The Dukes a second win (though not really, cause they both ended up with 0 points) which they happily shared with the good Queen
Until next week!
