Hello Trivia Lovers,

QuizMaster Muss here, reporting after a night of wicked fun at The Guild Public House at East Burnside in pretty pretty Portland, OR.  Finally, I have scored a coveted venue, and quite a nice one at that.  Two levels of great seating.  The staff was kick ass.  Wonderful beer, and great televisions, not too many, but good sizes and strategically placed.  The LA, New Orleans Playoff game was on behind me, but it was unobtrusive to the trivia game.  So could keep track of your team, and keep track of my questions.  Which was really cool for me, because I got to see LA hand it to NO last night while taking pictures and handing out prizes to the winning teams.

In the summer time, or at least when it gets about ten degrees warmer, the large street windows will open and people will bask in glory during the game play.  I can’t wait for that.

I gotta say, it was a pleasure meeting all the players last night.  A real pleasure.  You’re all swell, and I anticipate meeting you all in the weeks to come.  Remember, at the Guild, every player gets an ticket put in the mystery box to be raffled for a sweet pair of tickets to see the Portland Timbers play in Seattle.  The raffle is in June, so the more you play until then, the better your chances of winning the coveted Timbers tickets.

Last night was a cutting edge game, with all the team’s points in the 200  - 240 range.  But it was up to the Gay Straight Alliance, Spanx, and Campaigners Anonymous to try and win the 25 and 15 dollar gift certificates.  Pulling in with 347 we had the Campaigners Anonymous, and, in first place… none other that Gay Straight Alliance.
