Hey, could happen. Harold & Kumar is one of those movies that should have been awful, but turned out to be good enough to enjoy. I think a big part of what made it awesome was Neil Patrick Harris going crazy in the movie (and making fun of himself as Doogie). It was just so unexpectedly ridiculous that it made me laugh really hard. Here’s part of it if you haven’t seen the movie. (Not safe for work – language). He gets even crazier from there.
Congratulations to team Anagram This! for their first place prize of nearly $100!
It’s hard to read, but the TV in the background randomly says “Congratulations!”. I thought that was a crazy random happenstance. (Warning: That link may get you interested in an extreme overload of awesomeness that is Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog)
In second place, Cattle Prodigy, with team White Noise came in right behind them. See my last blog entry for a discussion about White Noise the movie, and how it was the real death of Batman. It turns out a symbol CAN be killed – through a failing acting career. Though that’s not fair to Christian Bale, since the new Batman movies are pretty damn good.
Here it is, your Thirsty Lion Monthly Standings for September:
5 points – Cattle Prodigy
3 points – Anagram This!
2 points – Snipe Hunters
1 point – Swinging Along
1 point – White Noise
