If you haven’t already seen, I’ve posted that awesome flash-mob video of Pub Quizzers in action, dancing and singing to “Party All the Time” to FACEBOOK PAGE… ah, the magical wonder of gizmos, introducing your Thursday night hilarity to your hungover, Friday morning shame on the Interwebs. Classic.

Ah yes, it was one of THOSE nights at the weekly Thursday Throwdown, where we had a great turn out of tuned-up quizzers anxious to get their bangle and slap-bracelet covered hands on thebig ol’ pot of 80′s themed trivia cash. Fresh off last week’s victory, “Can You Smell the Stank?” was all coked up ready to play and try to repeat their retro (last week) magic. They managed to squeeze into the Challenge Round this week too — but this time around facing “Team C Average” (an all-things-80s powerhouse) and the “No Mouth Monkeys” who scored 100 percent on the Name that Tune Round 2!

But in the end, wagering the bold ZERO, Stank won again! That’s right folks, call it a winning streak, but people are starting to talk about this team all around Portland. No. Seriously. Look at what I saw in a local men’s room — in the place of honor above a urinal, no less:

Frankly, I’m surprised that there were no phone numbers next to it. These are some hot and sexy bitches, especially when they’re flush with cash. Here’s their money shot:

Why are they all so happy? Well, check out where the victory put them in the BELMONT STEAK STANDINGS! That’s right, with 8 weeks gone and 6 to play, they have taken first place for the first time since, well, ever — I think. They have a lot more battles to fight though, and I imagine the Monkeys, Soylent, Beige, and even Kim and the Jong Ills are going to scratch and claw to take first for themselves. Who knows, maybe C Average will stop enjoying “the summer” and “sunshine” and come back next week, too!
