WTF they said!

I mentioned I really liked the song Overkill (Men At Work) when I played it for Name That Tune last night.  One team wrote some polite notes asking how that was possible (WTF JEREMY!?!).  Well, this is how it’s possible.

In case you are allergic to clicking links, it’s Colin Hay (lead singer from Men at Work) doing an acoustic version on the TV show Scrubs, which I used to watch religiously.  Lately I’ve been watching PSYCHE, which fills the silly-but-clever TV show niche even better than Scrubs.  Plus Scrubs did that weird thing like Saved by the Bell and took the show to “college”.  It just got lame once Zach Braff mostly removed himself from the show.

But on to the quiz results!  The competition for 2nd and 3rd was fierce, but the Geeks United dominated first place all night, eventually taking the first place prize:

Bah, I got the lamp in the first picture, as well as this 2nd shot, and it made everything else in the picture darker.  Oops!

In second place, with a whopping 3 points – Fast Time at Quizmont High!  They snatched the money spot from Dazed & Confused, who were also strong all night.  Just missing the final round were the Sheep Shaggers, Hammer Time, and The Beer Whores.

Thanks to everyone who dressed up like they were from the 80′s!  I love it when people get into the dress up type thing, it might be goofy but it’s so much fun.  I regret not dressing up more for 80′s week (I did part my hair, like I did back in the 80′s, though).  (And I kinda like it that way, which is hillarious).

Until next week!  I’ll be there if you are!  Watch the Sunday email for any changes, but unless it mentions something, the quiz IS happening just like normal.  Can’t wait!
