“What is with the Cheap Trick!?” yelled out one quizzer at last night’s weekly Wednesday Pub Quiz. With guitars like this, why NOT the Cheap Trick, I ask. In fact, more, more, more!

Speaking of cheap tricks, we might’ve had one in the Challenge Round last night. To spice up the mix, we decided to have a winner-take-all showdown with three Final Round teams vying for all the bacon. No Future was in first place after four rounds, and in an unconventional move, picked ’80s Olympics as the Challenge Round category.

Ultimately it was a bad move, because little did they know that the question was about Olympic HOCKEY — something that Team Canada knows backwards and forwards. They were the only team to get the last question right, which means they took home all the cash. Check out this bitchin’ crew, celebrating their winnings:

And why yes, those ARE actual L.A. Gear sneakers from the ’80s… complete with the little license plate.

How will Team Canada’s big score play into the season-long SPACE ROOM SAUCER STANDINGS? Well, though it looks like a heatwave is coming this weekend, things are already hot Hot HOT with the Saucer. FOUR — that’s right, count ‘em 1-2-3-FOUR teams are now fighting for the top spot on the standings, and to have their name engraved on the big trophy. We’re EIGHT weeks into the 14 week season and here’s the lay of the land:
