And so the bar team has lost. It was a good long 4 week run of the bar team taking either first or second place, and this week, well they DID technically end up in second, tied with the Streeps, of course. Clarification Please! took the lead with the bingo, and held on to a decent 10 or 15 point lead for most of the game. The bar gave a good fight, The Streeps were a little “under the pub quiz radar” shall we say for the night. We started off with a $67 rollover pot (I added $2 so we could start with a nice 69), so even though we had the three teams there, Clarificaiton Please won $96! That’s a sweet pot for a mellow night. We decided unanimously that since we only had 3 teams, that we would play winner takes all for the pot. It was agreed, and we were off. We had a rousting game of Quizlinks that kept everyone on thier toes, and kept the Streeps guessing. That bar team showed well, the winning team only had them by 20 points at the end of the game. Then came the final Question when everyone went balls to wall with the wagers which unfortunately didn’t bode well for the bar.
