I’m sure you’re all sick and tired of me calling out the Stumbling Drunks each week, but when they provide such clever artwork for my weekly blog post (see above for their most recent answer sheet), they’re kinda hard to ignore. Note the slightly crossed eyes of drunk Uncle Sam as well as the subtly placed black-label whiskey slipped into his hand. Well done, Drunkards — too bad you couldn’t have done better on the damn quiz!

And it looks like the insurgence is officially upon us in Vancouver! In only their second week of crossing the border for their Tuesday Night Pub Quiz fix, “Her First Mistake” managed to steal the bacon from Shanahan’s finest. This two person squad bested the second place Stumbling Drunks and the third place Analrapists for the evening’s top prize. I didn’t manage to snap a picture of “Her First Mistake.” Something tells me that they wanted to get the hell back to Oregon before they got beat down in the parking lot by a mob of Angry Vancouverites.

But, per usual, every team didn’t leave with money walked out with a $10 gift card, and our best players in the first round (and worst players in the second) got their fair shares of the merch pile! That’s value you don’t get anywhere else, people — gift cards, prizes, fun… why isn’t everyone playing here on Tuesday?

For sure, “Her First Mistake” doesn’t want their Shanahan’s secret to get out. But would you hop up to Washington just to beat them at their own game? I think you should… or maybe the local teams will regain order in their home court. We’ll find out next week.
