It was super packed at the Thirsty Lion last night!  The pot was nigh $200 AND I saw some familiar faces!  There was ateam that knew me from when I ran the quiz at the Night Light in Portland, and a gal who knew me from my time working for the Hillsboro Argus also showed up to say hi!  I got a little nostalgic, and was happy as a clam seeing people I hadn’t seen in awhile.

But on to the quiz!  I already mentioned the awesome pot, but the ones who took home half of it were also happy as clams:

We stepped out into the beautiful Summer night, “Blow Up Monkey” and I.  I asked them to lift the nice wad of $20′s they’d won for the night, and I snapped up their picture easy as that.

In second place, the Three Legged Hell Hounds got a nice amount for their trouble.  Again, glad you guys came out!  Hope you had a good time at my new venue!  Third place got money too, the regulars who call themselves “The Not Real Doctors??”  Note the two question marks.  It’s serious business to them that I make sure it’s two.  :)

11 other teams didn’t make it into the money, but that’s okay, there’s always next week!  As always, here’s the Thirsty Lion standings for June.  Remember next Wednesday is still in June (the 30th) so it’s not over yet!

For anyone who doesn’t know what the Thirsty Lion Standings are – there is a prize for whoever gets the most points each month.  You get 3 points for a 1st place finish, 2 points for 2nd, and 1 point for 3rd.  The prize is to be determined each month, but so far it’s been a sizable gift certificate.
