How many championships does it take to make a dynasty? No, that’s not an official pub quiz question, but it is something that’s probably going to get answered soon. The “Spoonfuls” have won their second straight season of the SPACE ROOM SAUCER STANDINGS, and this time they had not one, but TWO big competitors to fend off in doing so. Second place team “House of Ill Repute” and third place team “No Future” were in a three-way tie entering last night’s quiz. Unfortunately, No Future fell short of making the final cut, and House of Ill Repute didn’t wager wise enough on the last question, and eventually fell to the returning champs.

DO YOU WANT TO GET IN ON THE ACTION!? It’s easy. All you have to do is come to Space Room each week and use the same team name (or some obvious version of it), and I keep track of the rest.

Points work like this: You get 1 point for showing up, 2 for making it into the Challenge Round, 3 for leaving with money, and 4 if you win first place on the night. It’s a great way to add a little spice into your regular quizzing routine as well as make some friends (or frenemies) with your fellow Pub Quiz teams.

The winning team gets their table reserved for an ENTIRE SEASON (that’s according to the calendar, people), has their team name engraved on the Space Room Saucer Trophy, and is given given oodles of gift certificates and t-shirts. Heck, I even gave out gift certificates to the first and second runners up this season, because dammit, I care.
