What an exciting night at the Space Room! I might’ve scared off some of the regular crews with my ‘get there early’ talk, but that doesn’t mean that it wasn’t an crazy night full of adventure.

First of all, we’ve saw our first ever co-host in PDX.FM’s Robert Wagner, who’s internet radio station also features former terrestrial favorites Cort & Fatboy and starting next week, Rick Emerson returns to the airwaves with his new show Legion of News. Robert himself runs the show Morning Submission (where you can hear our own Quizmaster Polly from time to time) and is currently yammering into my ear about Pride Week. Great listening, people, and available on your computer or mobile device, to boot!

Secondly, it was the LAST night of this season’s SPACE ROOM SAUCER…. but more on that in it’s own, magical separate post.

But third, and most exciting, was the quiz itself! The Stumbling Drunks, a band of stalwarts from my Tuesday night Shanahan’s quiz came down to make it a little harder this week, and boy did they ever deliver on that boast. They landed in second place after four rounds, with Spoonful of Shabu Shabu in first and House of Ill Repute in third. Of course, no one knew the answer to the Challenge Round Question, which means it all came down to the wager — and when that happens, having the most points doesn’t hurt one bit. The Spoonfuls landed the top spot, with Ill Repute in second and the Drunks in third. Check out the Spoonfuls (circa March 2010):
