You know… it would be one thing if they occasionally got it right… but they don’t… EVER!!! All day yesterday I was wondering… are we going to have a quiz… I don’t know… they’re saying it’s going to be bad… o now they’re saying it’ll be alright… oops wait… now they’re saying it’s going to freeze… hold on a moment… it won’t freeze until tomorrow… hang on… it’s going to be 75 and sunny at midnight…

I mean WTF??? They had full, day long coverage of pretty much a rain storm in December… It’s times like this that I occasionally miss the North East… Here’s an example of a weather forecast there: 8-12″ of new snow along with some horrible ice… it’s going to suck and you might wreck your car… but you’re going to have to deal with it. See you at 11. None of this fear-mongering that the news does here… I grew up driving in this shit and they had me scared!!

But enough of my whining and griping… we had 51 people brave the killer ARTIC BLAST of rain to join us for a great Christmas quiz last night. We had Christmas trees, carols and a nice warm fire on the tv screens… we even had presents, as The Thirsty Lion provided some great glasses as prizes for the Thirsty Lion Trivia Challenge!

Five teams got into our cheery final round… my favorite team name of the night ‘Santa’s Sack’ missed the Hebrew Hammer and fell out of the cash along with ‘Little Lebowski Urban Acheivers’ who got the question right but had a bad wagering strategy. ‘The Good, The Bad and The Wally’ sang themselves into third with an appropriate Christmas Team Name ‘Gutted Salmon’ Taking second… once again ‘Scooby’s Red Rocket’ though stole the show and took the big share of the Lion’s pot! Even without singing any Hanukkah songs!!!

P.S. The weather reporters just said that it’s going to rain for the rest of the day until late tonight… I just glanced out my window and it’s a fuckin white out with an inch on the ground already… Way to GO Guys!!!!
