Props to Team Awesome as they scored bonus points for a virgin Long Island Iced Tea; that was creative. The most interesting cocktail was Nuts and berries…Frangelico, Chambord and cream. Everyone maxed out on the bonus points for their team size. Those were easy and pleasurable points to gain.
Bingo was a lot of fun with newcomers, Taprobane, getting the bingo win…to the chagrin of the usual pub quizzers. Even without the bingo bonus points, Team Chipmunk took an early lead with Cocktails and Dreams right behind them, Team Awesome on Cocktails tail. J
The fun part of the night was listening and witnessing the team that came in halfway through the Bingo round to join. The 3 loud blondies that named themselves USBHM were amusing as they ranted and raved and told each other to leave. One of them kept saying that this wasn’t her thing and that she could care less. But man was she excited when she thought she had a correct answer. LMAO! They even started haranguing Team Awesome…even though the blondies stayed in last place the whole night, they had fun.
Round 2 was all Cocktails’ in the end as they pulled into 1st place, bumping Team Chipmunk down to 2nd while Awesome held steady at 3rd. Those were the standings after the handouts, as well…Leaving the final question category up to Cocktails. Wagers were made, answers were hard-pressed…and nobody came up with the correct answer to the final question. So..it came down to balls..and Team Awesome proudly revealed their neutered selves as they wagered NADA. The strategy worked, though, as they took 1st place moneys and Cocktails took 2nd. Great match, one and all.
