The Thirsty Lion was hoppin last night for some Cinco de Mayo trivia and beers.  The 4-for-$12 Corona deal they were running was enough to get me to have one.  Brought me back to my vacation in Baja.  My *only* family vacation ever to an exotic location.  Good memories of home-made tamales and a barrio birthday party.  Good people down there.  Too bad La Paz has turned into a 2nd Cabo – I think they have a Walmart there now.

In second place came a team that claimed 100% newbie status to Pub Quiz USA’s trivia nights, calling themselves The Donkeys.  They did extremely well for their first time, leading the pack in points until the very end, just missing first place, but taking second.  NICE!  In third, alas with no money, came “Not Real Doctors?”, who insist I say their name with inflection every time.  Ever try talking like that?  Like, with every sentence?  Even if it’s not a question?  Makes you sound like a stupid 14 year old?  Of course, sometimes I sound stupid and 14 anyway, so no change there!

Hope everyone had a crazy night after I left – the live music was just starting up at the Thirsty Lion, so I’m sure they had a good time.  Until then, hasta La Vista, baby.
