Wednesday night Pub Quiz at Sonny’s has been growing and we had 5 teams last night and a new winning team: Lifetime!  We had a new team, Almost Out of Bubble Gum, who first Pub Quizzed in Portland.  Chuck’s Team didn’t win, but they did point out that the last Bingo question had the wrong answer.  We confirmed that Major General is higher ranking than Lieutenant General, which is what all of the teams thought. All five teams were neck and neck most of the evening with it all coming down to the final challenge round.  Lifetime had the lead and with a wager of 0, they won when no one got the question about Hot Lips from M*A*S*H correct.  Since the pot of money was pretty small with 5 teams and we had 2 teams tied for 2nd place, they went at the other challenge question as a tiebreaker.  Cashflow got it right and the March Browns, our 3 week reigning champs just barely missed it.  Oh, and we all learned a new word (maybe someone of us more than 1) with callipygian on the handout, which means: “having shapely buttocks” according to Merriam-Webster online.  Join us next week for a bigger and better quiz!  Every Wednesday night at Sonny’s Tavern in Springfield at 7pm sharp.
