Tonight I unveiled the new “Sellwood squirrel smackdown” with our lovely new friend that graces the lives of our last place team each and every week.  Here’s a shot of the squirrel, before team “The cunnilingus” got their losing hands on him and drew him a new package.  Yes. There. And their name.  He’s been tagged, and now, he’s off to some fun in New Orleans. Yes, they are taking the squirrel to the party capital of the world.  If it were Mardi Gras, I’d be more concerned.  I expect at least ONE good picture of the squirrel hallucinating in a grave yard.  See if you can pull that off.

Lots of lucisous lips in attendance last night: Pork Chop Express (with the only man I saw this week in lipstick) and New Quiz on the Block featured below.

I love the duck lips! Very creative.  That’s the Sellwood gang, always having a good time, and ready to show off their creative takes on bonus points each and every week.  It’s a great crowd in Sellwood, becoming one of my favorite nights of the week to quiz.  We also had a first ever pub quiz moment of zen, when I asked the question “Who won the first season of Dancing with the Stars?”  Team Sharky yelled out “Can we call our Mom?”  And everyone chuckled, then, when I inquired, turns out NO ONE at Sellwood watches that shit show.  So, I gave each team 45 seconds to phone home and get Mommy on the line.  Just once, for just one question.  It was quite amusing to see people trying to explain to their Mom’s that they were in the middle of a trivia game and needed help.  I can only imagine what that conversation went like “Ok, Mom, I have 45 second…”  Mom: “Are you okay? Why are you calling so late? You worry me..”  Quizee: “NO, Mom, I’m fine, really, I need to know…” Mom: “Honey why is it so loud there? Where are you?”  Quizee: “Mom, I’m in a bar..but listen..” Mom: “Oh, honey, did you meet a girl/boy?”  ”Are you spending too much time in bars?”  Quizee “No, Mom..I need to know..”  Quizmaster “TIMES UP! Put down your phones”  I’m pretty sure it went like that for most folks, though we did have two teams that claim good ol’ Mom got them the information they needed.  Stay tuned next week, and see if that phone a friend returns….You never know when we might need the help of YOUR MOM!  (Gotcha!)
