My beloved Blazers are looking slightly skiddish…
While I’d love to use this space to brag and boast about an upset first round series win over the Suns, Monday’s game — essentially a must-win — left me feeling less than confident about the team’s chances. Not that I’ve lost all hope, it’s just, well … there are other just some other worthy happenings around PDX that merit a bit of support, a bit of enthusiam. And thus, a bit of a PubQuiz web blog shout out.
Like the Timbers.
Three games into the season, PDX’s own footballers remain undefeated. And in this build-up to the big leagues, the season is looking to have all the makings of a memorable one.
Not unlike the Timbers’ most ardent Pub Quizzing enthusiasts, the Green and White Army.
On a roll seemingly since the Timbers’ season started, the Army dominated again on Tuesday night at Biddy’s. Whether it’s athletically-inspired or otherwise, the Army has been finding its way to the podium with some regularity lately, pulling points out of nowhere and finding a way to win.
‘Cause if you can’t be an athlete, be an athletic supporter.
(And Go Blazers!)

You do good work. Nice write up!
Build a bonfire
Build a bonfire
Put Seattle on the top
Put Vancouver in the middle
and we’ll burn the bloody lot!
Kevin, only for you, I will hope the blazers win. Here’s to Blazers beating Steve Nash and Timbers beating his brother Martin.
At least PDX got the best of one of the Nash bros.
