Of FUN DIP you dirty birds. Don’t be crass. Though, with that secret message on the wager about my “yellow shirt making me want to squirt” a girl can get some nasty ideas in her head. And, once again, forgive me for NEVER coming up with a good way to pronounce a letter without using a dirty moniker to describe it. I was never in the military, and if I was, it would have been the cursing, dirty minded military of one. Me.
Last night at the Sellwood we were sadly without Team Sharky, who went mysteriously missing from game play. Nary a shark in the house, nor a famous Sharky team shirt to be found. Thus, the Sharky arch-rivals of The Porkchop Express were out in full force, commanding first place from the start of the quiz. They took down our “Older and wiser-heimer” team of Cattle Prodigy from the start, while the other team “Ghost Boners” were rallying for third most of the night. In the end, the small world of quizzing was set ablaze with awesomeness as I played “It’s a small world” from the notorious Disney World ride. We heard it once while you wagered, we heard it next while you took your best shot at the answer to the “Small world” question, and then we heard it a final time as you made your way out. Mightly quickly last night I might add… In the end, all that “Small world” singing brought on a great poster from our winning team: The Pork Chop Express; who held this up during the second go around of the song. The sign reads “YOU ARE KILLING ME” and everyone in the Sellwood Public House agreed, the music was indeed killing them. Killing them soflty, and with happy robotic child like grace I might add.
No fools they, the Pork Chop Express as they walked out with their $63 in hand Wednesday night.
Till next week at the Sellwood Public House, when I expect Sharky’s triumphant return, and Cattle Prodigy to bone up on some “modern music” I will see you on the interwebs. Find me on twitter QMPolly or on Facebook here! And Lacey, the amazing and beautiful waitress at the Sellwood, resend your friend request, I may have inadvertantly blocked you after seeing that awesome profile pic. Finally: Coming next week to the Sellwood: Team Picture time! I’ll bring the good camera and take some shots to immortalize you and your beloved teammates forever in our blogs. Dress as if you’re winning, bring props to enhance the team name, and by all means, come prepared to give your best winning team scowl. I love those.
