I have to admit, when I saw the Bonus Points for this week in the Weekly Email Newsletter, I had my doubts that anyone would try to pull off the Georgian Rococo Style ‘do. And I have to admit, I felt a little awkward about signing up “Team No Future” who already tend to have out-there hair. I mean, do I NOT give them points because they always style it up in unusual ways? And really, what’s unusual? Should I give them points for pigtails and the boy’s regular instead?

Thankfully they made it easy on me by dolling up Charles in the 20-point bonus cut, using everything from toilet paper rolls (to add height), flowers, and bangles galore. And I’ve got to give props to Charles — other than being a whip-smart Pub Quizzer, he’s best known in the Space Room for sitting on his hands while I maul the French language. He might yet murder me for my crimes against Francophiles, but even still, he’s a much better sport than I am, because I’d never walk into a bar looking like this. Check out the side view:

And not only am I going to call out No Future for their cosmetic skills, they’re also constant contenders — and now they’re making a big splash on the Interwebs! We all know about QUIZMASTER JPP’S FACEBOOK PAGE, of course, but get this, there is a TEAM NO FUTURE FACEBOOK PAGE too!

Alright, I’ve heard from other teams that they also have Facebook pages, but the thing I’ll point out about No Future’s effort is this: It’s a ‘Fan’ page, which means it’s open for people to see and join, which means we can peek at their discussions, check out their status updates, and more. It’s a great page.

Sadly though, Team No Future was NOT the story last night at the Space Room, though they did land second place. They were beaten out by “Spoonful of Brill Cream” who came from behind, dethroning favorite-after-four-rounds Hell’s Satans (who went full-Clavin and went home empty handed), trumping third-place “Hairicication, Please?”, and besting fourth-place “House of Ill Repute.” Just look at them Spoonfuls hamming it up for the camera:

Only THREE WEEKS REMAIN until the Second Season Shamrock Showdown on March 17. Who will win? We will surely find out that day. But in the meantime, be well, play hard, and try to remember everything you can!
