Schadenfreude had a slim lead heading into the Final Challenge Round, and they opted for the Category 1 – “I’m Not Only the President.”

In a “Hair” themed Pub Quiz night, well, it’s not hard to guess where that question is going…

And Schadenfreude was ready. And waiting. And excited.

To set the tone a bit, Schadenfreude wasn’t quite their normal selves – one regular member, her vacationing parents, and another Pub Quiz regular who was also missing his regular team members. But what they lacked in team experience and consistency, they made up for in another type of consistency – the familial kind that comes with 3/4 of the team having the same last name.

Not that that in and of itself would have produced a winner, but …

The final question? Something to the effect of: “Name the founder of the Hair Club for men who also coined their slogan ‘…and I’m also a client.”

The answer was Sy Sperling.

Something tells me the Sperling family’s heard that one once or twice. And this time, they took it all the way to the bank.
