Since I wasn’t sure what you guys wanted to be known as on the list (your name changed frequently back when you won 8 straight 1st lpaces in a row) – I asked you to be inducted under the name that was inspired by your first super-obscure challenge question win. The question was: Who was the navigator that went down with Amelia Earhart in that fateful plane crash?
Long story short, you guys got the right answer and came back next week with the best team name ever: “Friends of Fred Noonan”. That will always be your team name in my head, and on the website. Hope that’s okay! It’s got a good story to go with it, so I figured it would work for you guys. Plus, your team has changed alot since your crazy winning streak. Not that you haven’t won your share since then (congrats this week, by the way).
Here’s a picture of the new face(s) of TK421, this week’s Horse & Hound winners:
The backlighting was weird, and I’m not a good photographer, AND I’m using a camcorder to take stills instead of a bonifide camera, so I’ll just say ’sorry’ for the low lighting of the picture. I figure if you guys had a zit or something, it would be obscured this way, so I call it a win.
Congratulations to 2nd place winners Pierce & Polk. And props to the other 2 teams that made the 4-way challenge round, Fourth Score and Seven Years Ago, and Happy Birthday Mr. President. That last conjures images of Wayne’s World for me, rather than Marilyn Monroe, which is probably indicative of something disturbing. I guess I just liked Mike Myers alot back then.
You know, when his movies were funny. And not just a paycheck for those involved.

Woo hoo! Friends of Fred Noonan was indeed our best name… thanks Jeremy!
