Ah, what a love fest we had at the Space Room this past Wednesday. A snug little gathering of 40-something lovebirds, scrapping and fighting each other to the pub quiz death with all manner of questions. At one point I saw one team lobbing their ‘love hurts’ souvenirs at another team, hoping to maim or just terribly injure the opposing team. Ah love… Pub Quiz style. Or is it “Face Off” style? After all, we did have a nice interlude in the Picture Round where one team answered “Face Off” instead of “Bad Lieutenant.” (Um, did you notice the “Good, Bad, and Ugly” theme?) Which led to my spot on impersonation of the movie’s best line: “I want to take his face… off!”

Love and Hate aside, we had a heck of a battle as well. “Spoonful of Alimony” took home the night’s top prize in the Challenge Round, fending off “Laird Creiger,” “Cattle Prodigy,” “Clarification Please,” and “House of Ill Repute,” in that order. Just look at them Spoonfuls smiling away:

There are just FIVE weeks to go in the season which ends on St. Patrick’s Day (A.K.A. St. John Patrick’s Day, because it’s my birthday).
