Ah, “House of Ill Repute”… I don’t know where they got such a bad rap (or maybe they’re just trying to give themselves a notorious reputation in coming up with that badass name), but look out for this crew, because they’re starting to put the pieces together. They’ve been quizzing around town since the summer, but so far in 2010, they’ve been assaulting Challenge Round. Wednesday night at the Space Room marked their first victory in some time, and they seem to like taking the top prize, as the picture above implies.

And they fought off some of the best around to take home the big bucks. Reigning Space Room Saucer Champs, “Clarification, Please?” fought hard as usual, making it into the Challenge Round as well, and racking up big bonus points with this authentic evidence-collecting kit:

Clarification’s arch-enemies, “Spoonful of DNA” also rolled in the top three for the evening. But neither they nor “Clarification” could come up with the correct answer to the final question, and as a result, “Ill Repute” beat both their pants off in badass fashion. “Clarification” was a little more conservative in their point wager, earning second place for the night, and “Spoonful” earned third place and a big pat on the back.

Think Space Room doesn’t get competitive? Sparging the Mash started the night with three members. But the guy in the middle, an official FBI target-practice sheet, ended the night chock-full of real g-man bullet holes.
