Spatter Patterns and Wombats

Tonight’s game was a great mix of crime, creepy shit and evidence. The team Dr. Wombat, shown here, came in full lab coat, with evidence bags and swabs and googles. My oh My how they were prepared. See below:

Though Dr.Wombat didn’t win tonight’s game they took second place, and as you can see by this photo, they looked the part more than anyone else. Some other interesting things that cam e up for Bonus Points: A weird forensic camera (known to have been inserted in some questionable places), Court badges, evidence envelopes, swabs, evidence bags, biohazard bags, lab coats and latex gloves. While I loved all of these, I was a little concerned we might have a crime scene with the latex gloves and my allergies! It was narrowly avoided as I shuffled the latex laden gloves into the middle of the pot, and I left with some itchy hands, but no need of that camera, or any crime scene tape. *whew* Check back later for some pics from the forensic camera, on their way to my email. I’ve got one of my fingerprint, and one of the quizzers beard. Very cool stuff. You quiz folk are the most entertaining bunch ever. I never know what people will bring in for points. And I am often pleasantly surprised, as I was tonight.

Tonight’s big winner, at the end of the game was not the first place team going in, Little Nemo, but Scooby’s Red Rocket, who nailed Mulder’s step brother’s name : Jeffery Spender. Nice job Sharon, of Scooby’s Red Spatter Patterns. They came from third to bust that first place pot wide open. Then, we had a leap for Dr. Wombat, who took second with a careful wager, and finally, Little Nemo taking third with 13 points. It’s never bad to win money for 13 points, is it?

Here’s a pic of tonight’s big winners Scooby’s Red Spatter Patterns. I did not get a pic of the team before I left, but once I got home, I relized that I have soooo many great pics of this team that I thought I’d just post one of them. Hell, I could do a collage of them over the years of quizzing! Here’s a look at Scooby’s when they took third place in our tournament last September.
