Solid first night out here at Maxwells with five teams battling it out for top prize including a little Jacksonian bonus from the establishment that contributed to the winnings.

As the quiz went along, it became painfully obvious that I had completely f’d up and printed the wrong quiz…yes, it does happen. To make a long story short, I am partially relieved, yet personally embarrassed. Again, I apologize for my shortcomings. Still, in the end, nobody really noticed except for the two teams familiar with our format. (Your subtle boos did not go unnoticed) Suffice it to say, with a little “Quizmastery” thinking, I was able to whip out a somewhat seamless quiz which meant substituting an “On this day” with an “A to Z” using bingo answer sheets, having quizzers add one line to complete the newly improvised A-Z answer sheet.

When the dust settled, it was “Dream Team Maxwells” placing third, which meant twelve extra “Turkish dollars” will be added to next weeks winnings. In second, it was “Team Awesome” who, might I add, was an impressive assortment of random regulars that beat most odds and left with a shit-eating grin as six first time quizzers walked out with way more than they expected. In the end though, it was “Da Bears” who sauntered away with the top prize and all bragging rights that come with it. Congrats to all that came and I hope to see you all there again next week.
