Halloween! We had a great themed team name last the “Dirty Tryqs and Treats” to start us off, some great costumes to fill in the blanks, some great quiz writing to engage our noodles, and a Hellva time listening and dancing to some great Halloween tunes. Who knew that the Devil was such a splendid dancer? That Satan really can twist like nobody’s business! Or that the bar owners at CC’s would know all the lyrics to “Witchy woman”? We know now great sirs, we know now. And knowledge is power.

First off the top, our winning team at CC Slaughter’s was The Streeps, see smug looking team above. They took the bingo and stayed on top for whole game, even after our costume contest, highlighted below, they managed to retain the lead and swept the quiz throughout the final round. It was the meager 1 point wager that saved them in the end as everyone guessed “Memoirs” instead of the correct answer “Epistolary” for the final question about Bram Stoker’s Dracula style of writing.

Everyone scored EXACTLY the same on the round two, but the answers were all over the board, so it made for an interesting round for everyone. When Thriller by MJ s came on the playlist, and up on the TV screen came a weird video of a cowboy…or something to do with a small Indian figure. It took us back… You remember those days where you’d smoke copious amounts of weed and watch MTV on mute while listening to other music, cracking up as the things seemed to fall into snyc? (Well, I’ve heard of people doing that kind of thing) We had Indians and bugs dancing to Thriller last night, it was a great way to wrap up the game.
