Did they ever do a Broadway production of The Shining? I know Ol’ Stevey boys first book Carrie was made into a musical production. Just imagine that scene with the pigs blood while Carrie busts into song…But WHAT song? Hmm. That might take some research.

My triumphant return to Pub Quiz was met with a bawdy crowd down at CC’s Monday night. We had a grand ol’ time busting out the songs from famous productions like Sound of Music and The Wiz during our Round Two’s Name that Tune last night. Good Ol’ TX (featuring Eddie Vedder) was taking the top spot until another team swooped up and took the Bingo. Then, it was all over after round two when DAI BACH our winning team, let it out that they were carrying a musical theater major. And with that information out in the open, they promptly took down the rest of the competition and took the win! Though I have to hand it to T/X (featuring Eddie Vedder) they did a pretty good job for a bunch of straight guys and gals. Not bad. Nice show on the NTT. Good thing you’ve got that music savant on your team.

Nice job on Monday. Since nobody showed up with a playbill, we took a jaunt around the bar to some show tunes. To be more exact we, or YOU rather, eased on down the road. Living out my fantasy of life turning into a live musical production. Only I realized this: You need some choreography when you spontaneously burst into dance. Think about that next time. Work it out a little amongst yourselves. That bumping was just not pretty for my fantasy. But thanks for playing along! We’re the only Monday night venue in town now, and it’s getting good downtown on 3rd and Davis. Join me for some Winner-take-all, Devil may care fun. Won’t you?
