It was a long week for old Quizmaster Dave, with some private parties and covering for some folks I nailed 6 quizzes in 7 days… I don’t know if that’s a record or not… but it is for me! And there was no better place to end my world tour than Bogey’s as we played one of the best pranks that I have ever been a part of!

A couple of weeks ago a Scott from Shuggy’s asked if I would play along to punk another member of his team, Mike. So it took a while but last night we pulled it off.After he let the other teams in on the ruse, Scott supplied me with 5 questions that only Mike would know and I read them off as the first five questions of the quiz.

Then I said.. “O wait a minute folks I’m really sorry… I screwed up…. I’m using last night’s quiz…. I’m sorry… I’m going to have to start over with the right one…” Well needless to say it had the desired effect as Mike started screaming and came running up to the table arguing “Come on man… we got them all right so far!!! You can’t do that!!! I KNOW these answers!!!

Well I argued with him a little about how I had to do the right quiz… and he just kept getting madder and madder. I just couldn’t take it anymore and I had to let him in on the joke and when I did the whole place erupted into laughter and Mike just stood there confounded… and then broke into laughter with us… it was just too good!!! “I should have known something was up when you asked about Clarence Carter.” And we all broke out into laughter again!

Thanks for being such a good sport Mike! And well played Scott!!! We got him good!

Over all it was a great night on the real quiz as karma came back to Mike as “Blue Shugoon” wound up taking the big Thursday night pot! Congrats!!
