You know what would make this martini better? How about an onion?! Eh, interested? I thought not.
Most of the sophisticated folk at Roscoe’s agreed that putting an onion in your martini shouldn’t be called a ‘gibson’. Rather, it should be called a ‘gross’ or ‘disgusting’ because that more accurately illustrates the type of drink it is.
The cold didn’t keep away the quizzers this week and three large teams battled it out for the top prize. Veterans at Roscoe’s the Raisin Smugglers (who always go with a different moniker) breezed through the movie posters, almost immediately handing it back to me after taking only a glance at it. Too easy? Maybe.
Meanwhile a couple of new groups stepped up to the plate and battled it out for first place; the Blueberry Waffles and team In Like Flynn. When it came down to the final round no one knew the answer, but through strategic point wagering In Like Flynn won it all.
They all said they’d be back next week, and some of them will want revenge!!
