Those Player Haters

Hey Yo! It was a rousting quiz tonight at the Bridgeport, we had a nice big turnout, and some decent cash in the pot. Fun was had tonight, in full by all aboard the Bridgeport Express train of dramedies. We went in a little late tonight as the Quizmaster in residence, yours truly, was sitting in traffic for 45 minutes on the 26 as everyone in the right hand lane apparently missed that HUGE BLINKING SIGN that stated that the lane did contain a stalled car just 3 miles ahead, ya, I think everyone just missed that sign as they were whipping into the right lane passing me by and then waiting for me to let them in to my lane a few miles up the road.

The Quiz tonight though it started a few minutes late was a damn good one. I had a great time chilling out on the groovy leather couch at Bridgeport with you folks. Nice seeing some of the teams I hadn’t seen in a while making their way back to the Bridgeport again. I can’t wait to see the Halloween costumes next week, I’m sure it will be even bigger and even more fun if that’s possible.

The Player Haters did take the game tonight, they led from the beginning when they nailed the bingo bonus round, and held onto the lead through the tough old Who Am I? round, and even in the Hand Out rounds, still they led. Of course they chose tonight’s final question, and in the end they NAILED it and they knew about Niagra Falls in Canada, or at least they guessed well. Not to say we didn’t have some close comers, the team taking second, I heart fake America, tonight eeeked into second place cash winnings with the big balls wager of “0” (just like some of their Who Am I questions were worth..oh snap) The third team making it in tonight was Circus of Syballance (thanks for that braces nightmare name, btw) they made it into third over the team: GOB AND THE NEVER NUDES (major new team to be reckoned with) who ran behind them by 1 single little tiny point. It makes my head spin when that happens and you can trust if it’s just a point that’s off, I’m double checking scoring behind the scenes for you. All in all that was the best time I’ve had at Bridgeport in awhile, it’s good to be back and I look forward to those crazy nights ahead with so many people packed in there that we can barely breathe and every 4 seconds someone complains about something or wants me to recheck their scores, so many people that you actually repeat the ENTIRE bingo round when you ask for repeats…ahhh, I really do love the Bridgeport in it’s own special way, it’s about the most competitive PQ out there and that ALWAYS makes for good quiz. When combined with excellent beer.
