So, I went straight from vacation in Alaska to Cowboy week at pub quiz! It kinda felt like last year’s Alaska vs. Texas theme. Speaking of Alaska, it was awesome. Thanks for asking! It snowed a foot the first two days there, and stayed under freezing the whole week, leading to fun driving and interesting day trips. The food was excellent, and yes I cooked a bunch of it. My deviled eggs are amazing, I swear.

My little cousin Gavin is almost 3, and reminds me of this guy when he goes outside:

I also went to the Anchorage Zoo, and saw tons of fun animals, including Bengal tigers sitting in the snow, eating it like it was the most natural thing in the world. I thought they liked sweltering jungles? I didn’t even have to go to the zoo to see a moose though. There’s several that roam me maa’s neighborhood, eating bushes and things. It was big. We kept driving. Moose are apparently very stupid and super aggressive during rutting season. Don’t try to pet one. Heh.

Last night was a challenging night of trivia! Good first week back – I’m happy to be back in the swing of quizzes! Miracle Max pulled out the first place prize last night, betting zero points (they were the only team that knew the answer though, so they deserved it for sure). In second place was The Beer Whores, who also smartly bet zero. A Third team, Mini Sirloin Burgers, also bet zero points, and the only team to bet points got the answer wrong and fell to last place (Sorry Beige Cowpie!).
