Week two at Shanahan’s and I’ll be so bold as to say we’ve got a local favorite on our hands. Last week was our inaugural Pub Quiz, but this week, we not only had quite a few returning squads, but a few new teams too. As one team told me after the quiz, “This is really great — we’re not used to having something to do on a Tuesday night up here!” And so it shall be, every Tuesday from here on out — I’ll be rocking the red pen every week, signing folks up starting at 6:30.

This week, The Beer Gobblers showed that they are a Pub Quiz force to be reckoned with, powering through Round 2 to fuel their eventual victory over SKTC in second place and The Stumbling Drunks in third. Team Shanahan, the big bunch of brains who not only mastermind the management of the bar, but brought Pub Quiz to Vancouver couldn’t crack the Challenge Round this week, tying for forth place with They Fucking Rock.

I’m excited to see who will show up next week — lots of folks signed up for the weekly email, which means bonus points are gonna fly!
