Dude, A,B,B,A was the best cheat code of all time. Unlimited 1-Ups in Ikari Warriors. That game was sweet. Speaking of sweet, how sweet was the magazine Nintendo Power? I had a subscription. That rocked, and I think it would have helped tonight. Needless to say it was Video Game night at the Big Time Brewing Company. We had some teams go all out in their efforts for bonus points, brining in everything from PS2′s to Commodore64′s, with of course some old school NES and SNES mixed in. The Pub Quiz world abounded with bonus points, and they ended up paying off on a close night.

Doom Kiss led off the scoring in Bingo, with Video Games Killed the Radio Stars and Your Princess is in my Castle just ahead. The awesomely named Tic Tac Toe or Thermonuclear War? and Left 4 Dead were in the middle of the pack, with The Who Tang Clan and Sorry Mario, the Princess is Banging Luigi just behind Blow On My Cartridge. Blow On My Cartridge did not have any bonus points, however, keeping them from the lead. Doom Kiss had a tough time in Round 2, but Blow On My Cartridge and Tic Tac Toe or Thermonuclear War? excelled in the Secret Message round. After the hnadouts, our top 3 teams of the night were: Blow on My Cartridge, Left 4 Dead, and Sorry Mario, the Princess is Banging Luigi. All 3 teams went for it in the Final Challenge Round, but only Left 4 Dead got the Final question right, making them tonight’s winner. Sorry Mario took 2nd Place, with Blow On My Cartridge taking 3rd.

There is no quiz at Big Time Brewing Company next week for Thanksgiving. I look forward to seeing everyone in 2 weeks though, we are getting some great crowds and rousing quizzes so let’s keep it up and have some fun on 12/2. Have a great holiday, y’all! Cheers, Kurt
