Honestly, I can’t do it justice. I just can’t. Won’t. To tell you how hugely wonderful tonight’s quiz at the Gypsy was would be doing an injustice to the intellectual poetics that played out tonight.
Eh, never mind. Might as well tell you, so that your jealousy about not being there will drive you to make it to next weeks quiz.

We started out with an intimate two team face/off (the slash is in there in an homage to the Cage/Travolta oeuvre) between Gypsy regular giants “Bad At Math” and “Team Wolverine” became a non-denominational stand off with late comers “Lazy Eye”. Because of their epic lateness (missing an entire bingo round) I awarded them two “odds are you are going to lose anyway” points and kept on going. They ended up close to perfect in the next three rounds making it a gritty gutty game. In the end “Bad At Math”, a solo performer, unholstered his brain gun and fired off enough mental bullets to take the championship belt (which I added an extra point to, before the quiz started, to reward the teams for being so flippin’ awesome and on time.
Also, to show my dedication to a passionate quizzing, I added a huge prize to the winner – A Wh0le Foods Frequent Sandwich Buyer card that had one already punched. I know, I know – I’m a king among kings.
