The promised pictures have arrived!

It was an awesome night in Hood River. Special thanks to Crystal for taking such great pictures. That girl’s got skillz!

The first picture (depending on the gallery function, it should be the first for every viewer) is of team Friends of Lewis Carroll. You gotcher Alice, Mat Hatter (who deservedly won best overall costume), Queen of Hearts, and the White Queen.

Next we have Uncle Fester, several group shots (I love the second group shot through the “spider webs”).

In the 5th picture we have 4 of our winners (best overall isnt’ in that one, but a consolation winner is there, more about that in a sec). Scariest costume went to the burlap killer. Click on that picture for the larger version and you can see Steve in his Sheep costume, which was hillarious. He rightfully took Funniest costume for the night. You can also see Claire, who won Most Creative for her Snake Charmer outfit. And on the right was a 60′s Star Trek Space Slut, complete with sparkles and alien phaser gun. She won the consolation prize for the costume contest, because she got at least one vote in every category. Including “scariest”. =) I laughed when she told me her costume, because it was always hillarious to see alien space sluts just give it up to captain Kirk like he carried around alien catnip or something. I guess they were trying to show he was a Man’s Man ™ or something with those stupid scenes.

We have a pirate wench (I use the term in the best possible way), what I call a Suga Mama with fiesty red wig (somehow Angela pulled that look off and was gorgeous). Then comes myself in my Gorton’s fisherman costume with the $180 pub quiz pot in my hands. There’s a shot of team “The clap”, who are clapping. They were past regulars, in from out of town for two weeks only (until next time they are all in the state) so we’ll miss them. Thanks for bringing The Clap to Hood River! And the final picture is a shot of Tom Selleck in his Magnum P.I. days. Where’s Higgins?

I’ll see you guys next week! Thanks for dressing up with gusto, it was the best halloween costume contest ever. Mostly because we all had beer for 90 minutes before the contest. Muaahahahaa!
