Creepy round 2!

From slightly ‘off’ children’s choruses to that creepy sound from the original Grudge movie. =)

Tonight half of the Sheep Shagger’s team, naming themselves ‘I would have made a sexy catwoman’, took first place spot. In second were The Beer Whores (one of whom dressed up as a beer whore, which won first spot in the costume contest). (Which was as it should be). (And also awesome.) Just missing the pot was Geeks United, who came into the final round with top points, playing a very strong game all night.

Through candy and costume and trivia alike, we had a blast tonight! I think it’s funny that when you fill a bowl with equal parts hershey’s bars, reese’s peanut butter cups, and kit kats, that there will invariably be nothing but the hershey’s left at the end of the night. Somehow, that just feels right, you know?

Oh, and if you wanted a random horror movie to watch (that most people haven’t even heard of) I’d recommend Frailty. As one review puts it: “If you haven’t seen Frailty, and need a heavy-handed, original horror film to weird you right-the-hell-out, look no further.”

Definitely a story I’ve never seen before, and it’s F’d up for sure, but worth watching, and alot of fun if yer doing the beer and burgers Halloween with a bunch of friends. I prefer that Haloween to the trick-or-treaters and pumpkin-carving Halloween any day. Also, the trailer for Paranormal Activity ruined the movie for me, but the movie is well done for a student film with a $15,000 budget. I’d say McMenamins $3 showing worthy, but not really $10 right now type of film. Zombieland is still in theaters though, so GO SEE IT if you haven’t. It’s so good, and perfect for a Halloween outing. More comedy than horror, but it has zombies! Zombies!

Until next week peeps!
