It was a a bit quiet last night down at the Ole Thirsty Lion as we said farewell to some of our dear celebrity friends… and hello to our new ‘Fist of Knowledge’ winners… T/x!! They fought hard through the past two months and it was neck and neck going into last night’s Quiz… but then as we were getting started… lo and behold… there was no ‘I’m With Stupid!’!! O, all the drama and tie breaker prep I did was for naught as I remembered ‘I’m with Stupid’ telling me a few weeks ago that they would have to miss a week in the future… and it just happened to be the final week!! O Noooo!!!

Well what was ‘I’m With Stupid”s loss became ‘T/x”s gain as they took the Widmer Cup in style leading the whole quiz from the beginning and never looking back!! Well played guys!! The Widmer Cup is not only a test of intelligence but also of stamina and T/x proved they could go all night long and then some!! So I tip my hat to you guys!! The ‘Fist of Knowledge’ will be engraved forever with your name so that all of the land will know of your accomplishment… not to mention getting some great prizes as well!!

We had a fun quiz going on as well, ‘Porcupine Racetrack’ was looking good to get into the final round going into the handouts… but lo and behold ‘Anagram This!’ leaptover them with a perfect score on our dead/not dead celebrities handout to push them out of the final round by only 3 points!! Ouch!! Sorry guys!! ‘Elephantastic’ got into the final round as well but unfortunaltely fell out of the cash by missing Harold Pinter… which meant that ‘Anagram This!’ actually got to take home some cash last night!!! Well Played Guys!! And of course our Champions ‘T/x’ took home the top prize and the Widmer Cup by knowing Harold Pinter… and that folks is why they are the champs!!

Allright… next week we wipe the board clean so everyone is on equal footing again starting at zero for our next round of the Widmer Cup!!
