After a week away, Hood River’s Pub Quizzers met with renewed vigor for the art and craft of quiz – eh – taking. They were surprised by the theme, the Olympics, because nobody could quite remember who had voted for that topic in the first place. Even though watching the Olympic arm wrestling competition makes me break a sweat, there are Pub Quizzers in Hood River who have seen more than enough to qualify as experts on the Olympic Games.

And qualify they did!

The Special Olympics Rejects took the bingo round and the bingo bonus. Forever Forth and the 12 Year Old Gymnasts tied in the Bingo round and in Round 2, Quizlinks. Sorry to say, the Pirates of the Caribbean didn’t fly or scores would have been much higher going into the final round.

Because of a tie for third place, four teams went into the final challenge: Sandbar Developers, Special Olympics Rejects, Forever Forth and The 12 Year Old Gymnasts. And wouldn’t you know it, those 12 Year Old Gymnasts took first place at the Horse in Hound.
