Sooo a guy walks into a bar-to sign up for pub quiz. Quizmaster says ” Is that candy in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?” Guy pulls out candy. in vague squishy barrel looking forms- hands them to the Quizmaster. Quizmaster ponders eating said candy, but can’t unwrap them because they are TOO melted! Hahahaha. Like that one? I got more. “A naked blond walks into a bar with a poodle under one arm and a two foot salami under the other. She lays the poodle on the table. Bartender says: “I suppose you won’t be needing a drink.” The naked lady says…” Oh..I forgot the ending on THAT one <crashes through ceiling>
Back to the Bridgeport, I’ve had enough of Saturday school! So, in case you didn’t notice, it was little warm out there in Portland tonight. We had some light breezy cool air wafting up the steps from the downstairs restaurant, but even with that, it was a little warmish in the mezzanine tonight. Not that I minded, I had all that misshapen man-handled candy to keep me company at my table. We also had a team (Little Nemo) that was sporting a member that would be spending her LAST PUB QUIZ with us as a single lady. She’s off to get married this Saturday. On to ponder the laws of the universe as a two rather than a one. We wish her well! She’s been a great player, and if her pub quiz record speaks to her abilities in/of compatibility, well then-her husband is a lucky man! All of us here at PQUSA wish you best with your endeavors! Only a few of us might encourage you to run, but we’ll skip those suggestions. 
Just so you know, all quiz players, there are a few liquor stores in Portland that DO INDEED have said liquor candies. I can’t disclose where, but I got SEVERAL little magical bottles of chocolate mixed with liquor tonight. So where does that leave us, if Candy is Dandy and Liquor is Quicker…then both must be PERFECT.
Cattle Prodigy took the quiz tongiht, in a stunning repeat of their win last week, they got the goods! Though no one actually answered the final challenge question correctly, Cattle Prodigy (having tossed aside the cursed bell) wagered a big fat 0 and took the money home tonight! They took $95 for first place, and only had two of them present to split the cash.
It was fun tonight Beepers (thats my new pet name for you all, get it?) I’ll look forward to seeing some of you tomorrow night in the big tent out back, for some fast quizzing about MOIVES for prizes and sweet sweet Schwag!
