LOL!!! Sorry I couldn’t resist…. you know when I get on a roll I just can’t stop it. Speaking about rolling, we had a team (I’m With Stupid) last night roll the whole way through the quiz in first place, and with 87 people in attendance that’s pretty damn impressive!!

It was an awesome night down at the Ole Thirsty Lion as we had a $261 pot on the line for our Wi-Fi goes Hi-Fi Quiz. It was all fun and games as we went into the bingo round… well should I say it was all fun and games for one team in particular, the aforementioned ‘I’m With Stupid’, because they only missed one question on the bingo round and then got the bingo bonus as well which meant that including the bonus points for their 45′s they rolled into our second round with a 40 point lead!! OUCH! Could they hold onto it though through the new ‘Secret Message’ 2nd round and the handouts? The short answer…. Yes!! The long answer….. YEEEEESSSSS!

I have to say it’s always fun when our writers come up with a new second round… and last night was a great one! It was funny though that when some of our perenniel teams came up to sign in and saw we had a new 2nd round they said and I quote “As long as it’s not as that bad as fuckin’ godawful family fued round it will be great!!!” (And it was great!! Good Job Molly!)

I had to laugh because personally that round is my least favorite as well from a grading, printing and organizing point of view. Of course now that I write this and it’s out in the open, you all better be prepared for a GREAT Family Feud round next week!!! LOL!!! Things just kinda work out that way here at the Quiz… LOL!!!

We of course had five teams get into the final round to play for a split of all that cash. And for the first time I had to enforce my multi-player rule. ‘We Heart Brains’ came to me before the quiz and informed me that they had seven folks and wanted to all play together. They knew from earlier quizzes that I will allow that, but they all have to pay their money and they cannot go into the final round.

I’ve had several teams do this throughout the ages but none of them have actually made it into the final round so there wasn’t really any worries. Well ‘We Heart Brains’ was third going into the final round last night and when I informed them of this they were very gracious and accepted that they couldn’t play in the final round. So props to them…

‘The Rural Jurors’ and ‘The Lorax’ were both able to actually play in the final round, although to no avail as they fell out of the cash… much to Lorax’s chagrin as they were one of two teams to actually get the final question correct, but with a wager of ’0′ couldn’t climb up enough to get into the money. ‘The Wicked Wiki’s’ also wagered ’0′ but they had enough points in the end to take third. Our current Widmer Leader Board leaders going under the name ‘The Golden Coffin’ managed to take 2nd.

But as I said at the beginning of this blog it was ‘I’m With Stupid’ ‘s night as they were the other team to get the final question correct and take home the Lion’s Share of the Lion’s Pot! Well Played Guys!!! You opened up a can of whoop-ass so big that people down in Salem had no idea why they felt like they had just been beaten by someone. Impressive!!!
