What’s the name of the pizza restaurant on Oak Street in Hood River? You might not know, because it’s an hour and half away from Portland, but its pretty good pizza. Well, that’s the situation that Pub Quizzers at the Horse and Hound found themselves stewing about this week while being grilled on Portland restaurants.

In any case, Hood River’s Pub Quizzers know what goes with a beer at the Horse and Hound – fish tacos from the kitchen and peter burgers from the grill. Armed with full stomachs, even the toughest quiz was no match. In the Bingo round, the Sandbar Developers, Beige Food Stands Alone and The Footlong Wieners led in points, earning 95, 75, and 73 points respectively. Even though half the team was off enjoying the break in the weather, Missing in Action Numbnuts took a close fourth in Bingo with 68 points. Beige Food Stands Alone, one guy playing by himself, had a great stroke of luck and took the bingo bonus.

The Footlong Wieners won the Jeopardy round by over forty points, but the two handout rounds were led by Sandbar Developers and Beige Food Stands Alone. Team Money Shots, who missed the Bingo round, Made up a lot of points with the handouts and might be a team to watch out for in the future.

The final challenge round left three teams: Sandbar Developers, The Footlong Wieners and Beige Food Stands Alone. Along with one lovingly rendered illustration of their team name, The Footlong Wieners turned in an 18 points wager, while Beige Food Stands Alone and Sandbar Developers bet the same amount: 290. In the end, only one team knew the answer and it was Sandbar Developers, who took home a $38 pot, with The Footlong Wieners taking home the second place $16.
