For my first solo run at Bogey’s everyone was in high (wink) spirits for our drug theme this week. A rather intimate crowd, they gave me a warm welcome while I was training. I had some large shoes to fill with Dave being the usual quizmaster, and the quizzers made sure to capitalize on that by saying things like “Dave would have taken that answer!” Ha! Too bad!

We had three teams in the final round this week, with the Fabulous Forty- Niners taking first place, riding it easy after the second round, because they were the only team to get the bonus 20 point question for the “name that tune” round. Plus, they just really knew their drugs, as we all should. After the quiz, a Forty-Niner, and a first timer said, “That was a lot of fun, I am glad I came.” I am glad you came too. Bogey’s is a great location for the pub quiz, and worth the time to pay a visit. Plus, it makes my heart keep beating to know that we are changing people’s lives with KNOWLEDGE.

WOW! I am getting pretty sentimental, I guess I should go to go cry like an emo kid now, or at least go get my pipe…
