Sometimes a quizmaster has to take back control. Sometimes a mutinous group of quizzers can only be tamed with Billy Bragg, Aerosmith from the 90s, and college fight songs from schools that aren’t the Ducks or the Beavers. This is just one of many tricks in the arsenal of crowd control. Well, there aren’t that many tricks, actually. Just the one. There really is just a lot of crappy music on my computer. When I can get it to work. THAT aside, no amount of crappy music will help me if my speaker is being blocked by a giant fake plant.

Congrats to Melty Viking Popsicles for taking first last night – after a long absence – but they still earned it with some good strategy in the final round. Second place was Team Awesome – well done! Welcome to third place team Almost Amish – it was the first time I met them out at Voleur, so welcome! It was good to see Kit Kat, a team of one, holding her own. Hope your team rejoins you next week!

My drink of the night was a minty fresh mojito – delicious as always. Although I’ve always wanted to try a mint julep so I could catch the vapors and swoon on the porch with Mr. Tarleton.
