That’s in memory of the late, great, King/Prince of Pop, Michael Jackson. He was a very talented, though eccentric, man. He’ll be missed.
Substituting for John….Ahhhh the Belmont. What memories…of the blistering heat, of hauling PA crap 3 blocks, of being inept at getting said PA to work (this was my first experience when I covered for Justin. This time it was just trying to find parking. Grrr….
The crowd was thick and raring to pub quiz…was fortunate cuz I brought a quiz. The game was on with 44 players forming 10 teams, which is a crowd for me. J Tx stole away the bingo bonus points and the game rocked on.
Jeopardy was fun…as usual. Tx walked comfortable in the lead after round 2 so we’d have to see about the handouts.
Well, Tx kept their lead, as expected. Team YMBP inched on up to 2nd place while The Wildcatters settled in to 3rd, leaving The Sirens of Titan just 1 point ahead of Morkelson…still shy of making the top 3.
Team Tx took the majority of the loot while The Wildcatters snatched up 2nd since they wagered a big fat nothing.
It was a good night with great people. The food smelled yummy but I didn’t have time to actually eat any. Oh well…next time.
