As you journey to the Space Room on Hawthorne to play the quiz on Wednesday night next week, remember that we have a parking LOT for guests of the Space Room, which means OFF STREET PARKING during the quiz. We also have a nice private dining room, which is quiet (except for my awesome playlist) and has no annoying distractions like idiots yelling out answers! Huzzah! It also has a pub quizzer menu, and a full bar and restaurant at your disposal. *impressed*. Not to mention the joy that is Hawthorne, the sights, the sounds, the glorious people. And that drink menu. I met up with a tasty little number called a “Dirty Cowgirl” last night.

And so goes the inaugural Pub Quiz at the Space room last night, and I was in attendance to bash the champagne bottle to the side of the building and launch this fucker into orbit. I must admit, when I arrived at 6:30 and saw NO ONE in the room, and I thought to myself “uh Oh, (me and this dirty cowgirl will have some alone time)” but within ten minutes, we started to see some quizzers, and by 10 after, we had 19 people come out to play the quiz. So, *ahem* just for fun, let’s show up by 7 next week, mkay?

We took a vote and decided on a “Winner takes all” pot, with all 5 teams going into the final. This made for a nice $57 pot for our winner. Winning last night FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER was team “Tiny Bubbles” TB were SO excited to win last night, they professed that they had been playing at the Belmont for OVER A YEAR and never once won a game. Until last night. They took home $57 for a three person team! Nice Job Tiny Bubbles, I hope you can hold onto that winning streak in the weeks to come at the Space Room. Covered in Mud was the favorite going into the final round, but they blew it on the final question, and then it was the conservative wager by Tiny Bubbles that popped them up from second to take the win! Some props go out to our other newbie team “Rick” last night, who were thrown together by the bar, and came over to take third in their first ever quiz. This could be a team worth watching. Just saying. Also, a word to John: *ahem* your team, CUPCAKES totally sucked before you got there. AND after you left. Please come earlier and stay later next week John. They answered the final question : DRUNK. That’s how much they need your help. Thank you, John. The cupcakes need your help and leadership-ness.
