It was a Grand night down at the Grand last night as we had over 20 people at our new late night no-theme quiz. I think the word is finally getting out about the awesome venue and relaxed atmosphere of late night.

We had some teams who had played earlier in the evening at some other quizzes come out and try and change their luck. We also had a new team at the venue ‘LARK” showed up but unfortunately didn’t make it into the final round. Sorry guys come back and try again! We had a tie for third so the rest of the teams made it into the final round. ‘T/X’ made it into the finals but missed the final question. ‘One if by Land Two if Bicurious’, in the lead as we went into the final round, also missed the final question but held on for second.

Which brings us to our winners (and my favorite team name of the night) ‘David Carradine’s Book of Knots’. Now it’s funny sometimes how people react throughout the quiz and the ‘Knots’ came up to me last night as they turned in their handouts, said “Someday were going to come in here and show that a two person team can win this thing!!”. Well from now on I will now on take them for their word… because with some awesome scores on the handouts they got into the final round and then with a crafty wager took First place!! Well done guys!!
