Was there something different at Portsmouth Pizza last night, or was it just me? Oh, wait I was the thing different, substituting (but hardly replacing) the lovely and talented Quizmaster Wendy. Though I did dress up for the theme of Back in Black — see above.

What a great place you have for pub quizzes, as the 5 teams who battled it out know. Let me say this, if you’ve never noshed on Portsmouth’s pizzas while pub quizzing your ass off, you are missing out. Tasty, delicious, airy, and so much space to play in. Heck, they even have wireless microphones there, so Quizmasters can walk around heckling the little quizees!

But there was no need to heckle this set. “Where the F is Treesha?” pretty much ran the night wire to wire, walking out with first prize. “Business Time” competed heartily and walked out with the silver cup in second, and leaving with street cred and little more was “Bobby Monster.”

Wendy will be back next week, and I hope to a bigger crowd. Seriously — if I was allowed to Pub Quiz, I’d hit Portsmouth Pizza every Tuesday night. It’s a secret gem of quizzy goodness.
